CRGS Win Best Team in BPW Public Speaking Competition

Posted On: 22/11/16

Well done to both teams who competed in the first round of the prestigious BPW public speaking competition last week. Congratulations to Year 12 students Hannah Vickers, Georgia Crown and Katherine Ellis, who took first place overall as Best Team.

"This year saw an exceptionally high standard of entries," commented Mrs Barbara May, the Local Heat Organiser. "The judges and audience could not fail to be impressed by the eloquence and intelligence of the young people who competed here tonight and it was a real pleasure to be able to provide a forum for their ideas and solutions to such important local and global issues."

Georgia gave a very persuasive speech about the importance of organ donation. The team will compete again in the BPW London Anglia South East Regional Final on 5th March, with the hope of making it to the UK National Final in Shropshire on 25th March. We wish them all the very best of luck.
