World Book Day Celebrations!

Posted On: 02/03/17

Staff at CRGS celebrated the 20th World Book Day yesterday by dressing up as much-loved book characters, including The Cat in the Hat, Professor Trelawney and Sophie from The BFG. There was also a cake sale in the school’s library.

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and, most importantly, reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

CRGS are also supporting Book Aid International (www.bookaid.org), which exists to provide books, resources and training to libraries in sub-Saharan Africa. The charity is one of three that will receive donations collected from students and staff on non-uniform day today.
