Year 12 Bright Futures Conference

Posted On: 16/06/15

Last week Year 12 students were given lots to think about at the “Bright Futures” conference. This event was new to the sixth form calendar this year and provided an intense two days for students to start planning for the future.  There was lots of talk of university applications and the nuts and bolts of the UCAS process, as well as ideas about gap years and alternatives to university.  We had an excellent presentation provided by Caspar Bartington of the CII about careers in the world of risk and insurance.  The two days were enriched further by the excellent contributions of our very own alumni (pictured), who provided words of wisdom about Oxbridge college choices, medical and vet applications, studying overseas and more.  As a sixth form team, we learned much in the creation of the programme, and it is certain to return to the calendar next year in a further refined format.  If you are a member of alumni that would like to help us next year, please do get in contact by emailing: jstimson@crgs.co.uk
