The NASA Cassini Mission to Saturn

A lecture by Professor Carl Murray, Thursday 17th March 2016, 7.30-8.30pm in the George Young Building.

Professor Murray is a world expert on the planet Saturn and its ring and moon system. Fresh from his appearance last weekend on the BBC’s ‘Sky at Night’ programme last Sunday, Professor Murray will update us on the latest discoveries by the Cassini mission. He will have all the latest images from NASA and talk about his work analysing the ring and moon system of Saturn. He will also outline his involvement with the planned mission the Jupiter’s icy moons or JUICE. Weather permitting after the lecture we will observe Jupiter and its moons using the schools telescopes.

Tickets £5 per adult and £3 per child.
