The CRGSA is an enthusiastic body of parents who work alongside the School to raise funds, organise social events and provide refreshments at school productions and parents’ evenings. This is a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile cause and one which constantly needs new committee members and volunteers, occasional helpers and anyone who has a particular expertise to offer. Forthcoming Events 2011-12Saturday 28th January 2012 Ceilidh Who can you contact? How do you become involved?Simple: just pick up the phone or e-mail anyone of the members on this website. What do we do?
What have we provided?Over recent years, the money raised from our events has enabled the school to buy, among many other things:
When do we meet?We meet at 7.45 p.m. in the School Library. Dates for the rest of this academic year are as follows:
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet many of you at one or all of our advertised events. CRGSA Second Hand Uniform ShopThe school has a second hand uniform shop which is run by volunteers from the CRGSA. We sell most items of uniform and sports kit (including boots) and all profit goes to the CRGSA funds, which in turn purchases equipment for the school. The shop is located at the front of the school next to the site manager’s office, between the library and reception. Opening Times Autumn/Winter 2011/12
Items to be sold should be clean and in good condition, clearly marked with the student’s name, tutor group and price (or marked “Donated”) and have a stamped addressed envelope attached. If you are in doubt about the price, we will be pleased to advise you or price items for you. Please note, we no longer take in plain purple or white rugby shirts or old style tracksuits. When your items are sold you will receive 75% of the selling price, while 25% goes to CRGSA funds. Alternatively if the item is marked “Donated”, then 100% will go to the school. A record is kept of all items brought in (other than those donated) and all monies over five pounds are sent by cheque, either in the s.a.e or via your son. If you are unable to bring items to be sold into the shop during opening hours, they may be left in reception at any other time (clearly marked “CRGSA shop”, please). We do hope that you will support the shop throughout your son’s time at CRGS. If you have any queries or are willing to help, please contact one of us.
