Year 7 Lavenham Trip

Posted On: 25/06/15

Year 7 students, accompanied by Mr O’Mahony, Ms Wallace, Ms Walters, Mr Clark, Mr Heaton and Mr Heard, had a lovely day in the Lavenham sunshine exploring the history of the Medieval Wool industry.

We enjoyed tours of the Guildhall and Little Hall and walked around the village looking at the houses dating back to the Middle Ages. We also visited the magnificent Church, one of the finest parish churches in the country. The day started with a wonderful lecture on the process of manufacturing wool by the local historian, Dr Patrick Denney. Members of the public were very complimentary about the conduct of our students, which was very nice to hear. Well done, Year 7! Many thanks to the staff at the National Trust, Little Hall, Lavenham Village Hall and Jonathan Pearsall.
