Students Reach Final BASE

This year two teams of Sixth-formers entered the prestigious BASE competition run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants where teams of up to six students compete against other regional schools showcasing their business skills and knowledge.  A team made up of Cailean Kinsella, Alex Mitchell, Sam Whitehead, Tom Brown and Matt Rogers, who are all going to study economics related courses at university next October, won the Chelmsford heats securing a place in the final of the business skills competition.

After a gruelling day of tasks relating to the analysis of a fictitious company, under the guidance of a chartered accountant, the team had to present their proposals to three members of the ICAEW. They are now off to the national final in Birmingham on June the 28th, two days after their last A Level exam.

Good luck to the team.
