CRGS came out top in the national A level performance tables for the 9th year running when they were published by the DfE today. The average A level points score per student of 1430 was up on last year’s table-topping score of 1412 and an indication of the school’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

The GCSE results were also some of the best on record at the school, with a high average points’ total and a KS2-4 value-added score of 1042.7 which the East Anglian Times reported as being the best in the county.

Headmaster, Ken Jenkinson comments:

‘It is always interesting to see the official figures when they are published and the variety of measures the DfE uses to assess achievement. Newspapers are often selective in the criteria they choose whereas the DfE presents the data in an unadulterated form. It is clear that CRGS has excelled by all criteria this year and underlined its national standing at all levels. The students and teachers deserve great credit for their achievement because any success has to be earned afresh every year. Everyone associated with the school seems to enjoy the challenge and rises to it with confidence year on year. My congratulations to all on an outstanding achievement.’
