Drama

Major school productions take place each year involving forty or fifty students on stage and behind the scenes. Recent projects include Sister Act, Sweeney Todd, and Les Misérables. There have also been Sixth Form productions of plays by students and by Oscar Wilde, Terry Pratchett and Alan Bennett.

Junior pupils have staged Julius Caesar and Treasure Island, and Year 7 students have timetabled Drama lessons in which they prepare for a performance of an adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream towards the end of the Spring term.

We have recently acquired professional-standard modular staging and lighting thanks to a very generous bequest in memory of the late Steven Pimlott, renowned theatre, opera and musical director.
