Old Colcestrian Society Rugby, Netball and Dinner

The Old Colcestrian Society held their winter reunion on Saturday 16th December, with record numbers attending.

In the afternoon, the OCS President's XV secured victory over the Headmaster's XV in a hard fought match, and the OCS narrowly defeated CRGS VII in an excellent game of netball. That evening, the dinner was the largest we have ever held, with over 200 people attending.

Present were Old Colcestrians, guests including the Headmaster, Deputy Head, CRGS Chair of Governors, and rugby and netball players from all four teams including many Year 13 students. We were particularly pleased to see over 30 of last year's school leavers at the dinner, led by School Captain 2015-16, Matt Watson.

Dr Medlicott kindly arranged a superb choral rendition performed by CRGS students and former students who were attending the dinner, which included an earlier version of the school song, unheard in recent years. Speeches were made by the President, Trevor Hearn, the Headmaster and the School Captain, Oliver Dickie, who received a standing ovation.
