Italy Tour is a Success for CRGS Rugby Players

Forty four CRGS rugby players toured Northern Italy over the half term break. The tour, based around the beautiful city of Verona, was a success both on and off the field. On the playing front, the 1st XV excelled, beating both Rovato (a top Italian Elite league team) 65-0 and Bassa Bresciana 98-0. The 2nd XV found their matches more difficult playing against the 1st team opposition, losing narrowly to both Oltremella and Brescia. Off the field, visits to Venice and Milan expanded the cultural horizons of the boys, whilst a visit to Parma to watch the Champions Cup game between Zebre and Connaught added further rugby focus. Throughout the tour, the boys proved to be fine ambassadors for CRGS.
